Hello,

I decided to stitch this series in a set of 4 panels. The Spring panel is complete, and am almost finished with the Winter panel.

Isn't it beautiful how the colors compliment each other?

I had such a hard time trying to decide what to work on after Lessons but I finally decided on My Garden Journal. I figured I would complete the second panel of the 4 seasons and started on December's Holly. I am really enjoying the colors in this one. I have been a little slow this last week on stitching (only stitching about every other day and sometimes only about 15 stitches at a time). I am hoping to complete December this weekend...we will see. If so, I will be half finished with this series. It is so fun to see these designs come together.

August Stitch in June

Design - "August's Poppy"

Designer - Cottage Garden Samplings

Fabric - 28 count Waterlily linen

Fibers - GAST, WDW, & DMC - 2 strands over 2 threads

Started - 30 March 2014

Completed - 10 June 2014 

I used the fabric and the fibers as charted.  This series by Cottage Garden Sampling is available at an Local Needlwork store or online store. It's a super fun series to stitch. 

I love the colors. The informality of the poppies is perfectly captured in this design.  Wonderful. Another winner in this super series.

We Have Blossoms!

I've made some progress on "August's Poppy" and have stitched the blossoms.  Now I just have stems and leaves left to stitch.  Then on to September's design.
